Camp Strake

Summer camp 2020 will be held at the new Camp Strake, a first-class and state-of-the-art facility for Scouts and their leaders. 

Spots are still available for weeks six and seven to in-council and out-of-council units.

Activities will include shooting sports, Wild Hex, zip lines, climbing, rappelling, COPE, and more.

Council Recognition Reception
November 19, 2019

The Council Recognition Reception is held annually to honor the recipients of the Silver Beaver Award and Heroism Awards. Join your fellow Scouters in recognizing the recipients of the Silver Beaver Award, the highest award a council can bestow on a volunteer Scouter.

Cub Scout Camping

Adventure Camp is weekend campout. Cub Scouts and their families will enjoy an exciting variety of activities at several program areas. Meals are eaten in the air-conditioned dining hall.

Scouting Supports Education

Scouting activities contribute to the academic development of the children who participate. 

The Cub Scout program supports over 120 elementary standards (TEKS) that students are to learn. More than 85% of merit badges include requirements that meet National Science Education Standards, giving Scouts a foundation in everything from nuclear science to robotics.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars go back to the Scouting program as a result of the annual popcorn sale. The popcorn sale is a great way for a Scout to support his or her way through the various activities during the year.
